Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Damian Grabowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kato Kabrinsky!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabowski tries to clinch up
and Kabrinsky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kabrinsky circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kabrinsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Grabowski darts in trying to clinch
and Kabrinsky counters with a stiff right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kabrinsky moves into range and clinches up with Grabowski.
Grabowski is trying to push Kabrinsky away but Kabrinsky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kabrinsky jumps into guard, dragging Grabowski to the mat.
Kabrinsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kabrinsky lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grabowski!
Kabrinsky tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kabrinsky is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Kabrinsky takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Grabowski scoring well with a low kick there.
Grabowski with a poor takedown

so Kabrinsky counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kabrinsky stands up and waves to Grabowski to follow him.
Grabowski throws a push kick but Kabrinsky slaps the foot to one side.

Kabrinsky scores with a takedown into Grabowski's guard.
Grabowski is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kabrinsky stays in close to Grabowski's body and controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kabrinsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Grabowski has wrist control.
Kabrinsky throws a big right hand that misses.

Kabrinsky drops back looking for a leg! Grabowski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grabowski manages to kick Kabrinsky off! Kabrinsky jumps back into Grabowski's guard.
Grabowski controls Kabrinsky momentarily but Kabrinsky frees himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kabrinsky's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Let's hope that Kabrinsky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kabrinsky stands and throws Grabowski's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kabrinsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grabowski, who protects the arm well.
Kabrinsky advances to full mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kabrinsky with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Grabowski can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kabrinsky controlling from the full mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kabrinsky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kato Kabrinsky dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Grabowski takes a swing at Kabrinsky's ribcage but misses.

Kabrinsky gets a takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kabrinsky seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kato Kabrinsky was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kabrinsky scores a takedown into full mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kabrinsky working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Grabowski looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kabrinsky! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Kato Kabrinsky!
