Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dweezil O Hearn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Bellido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale Bellido is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dweezil O Hearn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dale Bellido!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Hearn scores with a decent looking hook.
O Hearn throws a series of punches but Bellido moves out of range.

Bellido gets a clinch.
Bellido stalling.
A right hook to the body lands for Bellido.
Bellido is pushing O Hearn up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Bellido keeps control of O Hearn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bellido manages to break the clinch.
O Hearn misses with a straight right.

O Hearn tries to sprawl but Bellido drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bellido is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bellido is trying to control the action in half guard but O Hearn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bellido stops O Hearn from getting back to his feet.
Bellido throwing shots but O Hearn is blocking nicely.
Bellido is taking a breather. O Hearn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
It looks like Bellido might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bellido wants to free his trapped foot but O Hearn is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Dale Bellido has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
O Hearn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dweezil O Hearn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
O Hearn misses with an uppercut. Bellido saw that one coming.
Bellido displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as O Hearn throws out the jab.

and Bellido decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in O Hearn's guard.
Bellido is looking to advance position but O Hearn has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

O Hearn is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Bellido decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bellido working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bellido stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows O Hearn to get to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

O Hearn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bellido decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in O Hearn's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bellido wants to control from the top but O Hearn keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Bellido clinches up against the cage.
Bellido is leaning against O Hearn and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
O Hearn can't break the clinch.

Bellido's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bellido walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nice takedown defense from O Hearn. No joy for Bellido on that attempt.

It looks like Dale Bellido has been cut.
O Hearn throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bellido counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in O Hearn's guard now.

O Hearn wants to get back to his feet but Bellido is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dale Bellido was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bellido walks into a left hand.
Horrible takedown by Bellido or perhaps it was just good defense by O Hearn which made him look bad.
O Hearn looks to land a combination but Bellido avoids it well.
O Hearn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bellidos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Bellido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for O Hearn!

O Hearn is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Bellido controlling the pace for now.
Bellido scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish O Hearn?

O Hearn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bellido trying to control but he's not successful this time.
O Hearn holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bellido tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dale Bellido showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



O Hearn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bellido stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. O Hearn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dale Bellido wasn't active enough on the ground.

Dale Bellido is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
O Hearn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Bellido counters with a single leg into guard. O Hearn didn't expect that.
Bellido not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

O Hearn throws out a loose jab but Bellido uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bellido breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
O Hearn lands with a kick to the temple. Bellido shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

I've got Bellido winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
