PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gray Test (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Test manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Machin advances to half guard.
Machin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Test is staying active underneath Machin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Test is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Machin uses his free foot to push down on Test's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Test.
Test is wriggling around trying to escape.
Test taking shots to the head.
Test regains half guard.

Machin is working for a kimura but Test is defending it quite comfortably.

Machin seems to be looking for submissions.
Test wants to improve his position but Machin is controlling well.

Machin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Test is just riding it out for now. Machin eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Test is trying to escape and Machin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Test is forced to tap! Nice work there by Machin! Very nice indeed!
