Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Bane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascal Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bane comes to the cage accompanied by Ego Draconis. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xavier Bane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pascal Lapointe!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane just misses with a punch to the body.
Bane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lapointe looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lapointe was well out of range. Poor timing from Bane.
Lapointe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bane.
Danga de danga de dang - Bane scores with a four punch combination!
Bane throws a body punch but Lapointe moves out of range.
Lapointe misses with a low kick.
Bane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Bane is looking to wear down Lapointe with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Lapointe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bane connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lapointe scrambles back to his feet.
Bane pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lapointe back to the cage. Bane follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Lapointe might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bane has got the better of the exchanges.

Oooooh!!! Bane has knocked Lapointe down with a huge combo! Bane steps away and waves a wobbly Lapointe back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

BOOM! Bane lands a beautiful left hook that drops Lapointe. Lapointe tries to recover but Bane is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Lapointe lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
