Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Qwasnatmetaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Zaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Qwasnatmetaker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Prodigy - Smack my bitch up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Douglas Qwasnatmetaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abdullah Zaire!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaire walks into a straight right hand from Qwasnatmetaker.
Qwasnatmetaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zaire misses with a takedown attempt
and Qwasnatmetaker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Qwasnatmetaker misses with an uppercut
and Zaire counters with an outside leg kick.

Qwasnatmetaker moves into the clinch.
Qwasnatmetaker prevents the takedown attempt.
Zaire has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Qwasnatmetaker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Douglas Qwasnatmetaker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdullah Zaire.
Qwasnatmetaker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Qwasnatmetaker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Qwasnatmetaker is looking to break free of the clinch but Zaire has double underhooks.
Zaire tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Zaire has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Qwasnatmetaker is trying to keep an underhook but Zaire manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Zaire is looking to take a break and control but Qwasnatmetaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Zaire is controlling the pace.
Zaire wants to pass the guard but Qwasnatmetaker is defending well.

Zaire takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Let's hope that Zaire has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Qwasnatmetaker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Qwasnatmetaker tries to get out of the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Abdullah Zaire hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Qwasnatmetaker throws out a leg kick but Zaire moves out of range and Qwasnatmetaker only half commits.

Zaire is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Qwasnatmetaker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Zaire looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Qwasnatmetaker is avoiding damage well.

Zaire postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Qwasnatmetaker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zaire throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Qwasnatmetaker.
Qwasnatmetaker leaves Zaire with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Zaire unloads with some shots from mount but Qwasnatmetaker bucks and avoids them well.
Zaire throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Qwasnatmetaker because Zaire loaded up on that one.
Poor strikes thrown by Zaire there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Zaire jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Qwasnatmetaker is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Qwasnatmetaker and Zaire has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

You can see the frustration on Qwasnatmetaker's face as Zaire controls the position.
Zaire's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zaire creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Qwasnatmetaker sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Zaire wants to take a breather but Qwasnatmetaker manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Zaire.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Abdullah Zaire.

Zaire changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Qwasnatmetaker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Qwasnatmetaker can't do much from the bottom here.
