The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Africanus dives in and grabs Blew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blew pushes down on Africanus's head and hops out.
Blew feints a jab promting Africanus to slip. Blew then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Africanus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Julius Africanus has been cut.
Blew misses with a combination
and Africanus counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A solid leg kick lands there for Africanus.
Africanus wants to land a leg kick but Blew is out of range.
Blew avoids the head kick by Africanus.

Africanus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Blew connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Africanus tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Blew counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Africanus tries to score with a low kick but Blew moves his leg out of the way.
Africanus takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Africanus takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

No joy there for Blew, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Africanus tries to clinch up but Blew circles away and keeps his distance.
Blew stuffs the takedown.

Blew cracks Africanus with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Blew connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Africanus looks for a takedown but Blew sprawls well.
