Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remo Grax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Remo Grax!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grax closes the distance looking to clinch
and Peter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Grax misses with the combination.

and Peter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Peter instigates a clinch.

Peter pulls guard effortlessly.

Peter wriggles free and stands up.
Peter throws a series of punches but Grax moves out of range.
Peter misses with a head kick.

Peter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Peter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grax keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Peter controlling the position.
Grax tries to bench press Peter off him but Peter keeps the position.
Peter grinds an elbow into Grax's temple.
Grax really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peter trying to control the action but Grax is working from the bottom.

Peter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grax has escaped the position, nice work there.
Peter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grax keeps working.
Grax gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Peter throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Peter prevents Grax from getting the reversal.
Peter looking to control but Grax is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Grax tries to hold on but Peter postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Grax is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Peter lands a big shot there that rocks Grax but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Grax in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Peter wants to control the pace but Grax is squirming around nicely.

Peter stands up from mount. Strange move.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Grax enables Peter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grax manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Peter trying to control but Grax is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Peter dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Grax tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Peter here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Peter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Grax tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Peter successfully pulls guard.
Grax trying to control but Peter is working from the bottom.
Grax loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Peter pulls Grax in close to prevent any damage.

Peter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grax is aware though and is defending well.

Grax looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Peter takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Peter Peter has been cut.

Peter drives through and clinches with Grax against the cage.
Peter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Grax fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Grax doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Peter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Peter breaks the clinch.
Grax cracks Peter with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Peter tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Grax pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Peter is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Remo Grax!
