The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Mercurious.
Darius slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mercurious throws a sloppy body shot
and Darius counters with a two punch combo.
Mercurious throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mercurious lands with a right hand.
Darius throws out a loose jab but Mercurious uses good head movement to avoid it.
Darius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mercurious moves away.
Darius thows a body shot but no joy.
Mercurious will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
No luck for Mercurious with that takedown attempt.
Darius throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mercurious sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Darius throws a series of punches but Mercurious avoids them all with ease.
Mercurious staying out of range there.
Darius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mercurious misses with a body shot.
Darius looks to land a combination. Mercurious sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Braxton Darius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Mercurious counters with a stiff right hand.
Mercurious throws a body punch but Darius moves out of range.
Mercurious misses with a hook
and Darius connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Darius lands the left hand.
Mercurious misses with a body shot
and Darius cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Mike Mercurious has been cut.
Darius jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mercurious throws a shot from downtown. Darius moves away and avoids it.

Mercurious is rocked!
Darius scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mercurious walks straight into a right hand from Darius - that's dropped him! Darius jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Mercurious from any more punishment! Mercurious complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
