Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Mael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mael comes to the ring accompanied by It's Not All About You. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Rollins!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mael tries to clinch up
and Rollins counters with a three punch combo that has Mael backing up. Mael nods at Rollins to acknowledge the strikes.
Mael fails with the takedown.
Rollins lands with a right hand.
Jab by Rollins.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rollins's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mael under the eye.
The crowd cheers as Rollins lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mael doesn't seem phased though.
Rollins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mael .
Rollins's corner calls for a 1-2. Rollins obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Alan Mael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rollins tries to bum rush Mael with a series of wild strikes but Mael uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A nice left hand lands by Rollins.
Rollins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mael has him pressed against the ropes.
Mael wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rollins.

Rollins lands a hook that snaps the head of Mael backwards.

Rollins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mael throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rollins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mael counters with a low kick, right behind Rollins 's knee.
Rollins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mael circles away quickly and effectively.

letting Rollins counter with a right hand.

and Rollins counters with a three punch combo that has Mael backing up. Mael nods at Rollins to acknowledge the strikes.

Mael closes the distance but Rollins moves to the side
and Rollins counters with a series of strikes. Mael will be more careful next time no doubt.

Mael rushes Rollins and presses him up against the ropes.
Rollins stops a takedown attempt from Mael .
Mael jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rollins walks away with a smile on his face. Mael gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alan Mael . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mael tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rollins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rollins scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mael gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sloppy strikes from Rollins. Those never looked like landing.

Rollins throws a shot to the body.
Mael is breathing heavily.
Mael tries to clinch but Rollins moves away
and Rollins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mael wants to clinch but Rollins slips to the side
and Rollins counters with a stiff right hand.
Mael on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mael throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rollins counters with a series of strikes. Mael will be more careful next time no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Rollins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rollins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mael napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mael tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rollins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Rollins decides to stand back up.
Rollins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mael changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rollins tries to avoid it but Mael manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rollins to the ground. Rollins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rollins looks to land a combination. Mael sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rollins throws a right and a left that both miss.

Rollins's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rollins duly obliges.
Mael shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rollins scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rollins jabs Mael right on the nose. Mael blinks but takes it well.

Rollins looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mael !
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rollins controlling the pace for now.
Mael manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Rollins dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mael takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rollins lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Mael could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rollins throws a right hand that Mael ducks under and follows up with a left that Mael also avoids with ease.

Mael can't get the takedown.
Rollins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

Mael drops back looking for a leg! Rollins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rollins manages to kick Mael off! Mael jumps back into Rollins's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mael sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rollins's guard.
Mael thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rollins's head.

Mael is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rollins has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mael is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mael moves into full mount! Rollins won't be happy about that!

Mael is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rollins to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rollins shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mael lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rollins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rollins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Mael looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Mael looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rollins is defending well. Mael quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rollins has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mael celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
