Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stu Pidasso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pidasso's entrance music is Lollipop Remix. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stu Pidasso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Six!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Six throws a leg kick
letting Pidasso counter with a right hand.
Pidasso lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Six throws a jab when Pidasso was well out of range.
Pidasso works the jab nicely.
Six throws a series of punches but Pidasso avoids them all with ease.

Pidasso bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Six is trying to control Pidasso's posture but Pidasso avoids it.
Pidasso misses with the ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Pidasso seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Six wants to control but Pidasso postures up.
Pidasso lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Six is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Six is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Pidasso is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Pidasso tries to control but Six wriggling away.
Six is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pidasso avoids the attempt from Six to control.

Pidasso looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Six tries to reverse the position but Pidasso maintains control.
Pidasso throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Six because Pidasso loaded up on that one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Six tries to hold on but Pidasso postures up.
A nice elbow there by Pidasso.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pidasso landing strikes from the mount.


It looks like Henry Six has been cut.
Pidasso pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


That has opened up Henry Six's cut even more.
Six is trying to escape the mount.
Six looks gassed!
Pidasso is landing with some decent strikes but Six is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Pidasso trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pidasso throws some wild stikes that Six manages to avoid easily.
Pidasso working the ground and pound effectively.
Six really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pidasso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pidasso is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Pidasso gets a takedown into half guard.
Pidasso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Six does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Six is trying to maintain the position but Pidasso is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pidasso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Six is just riding it out for now. Pidasso eventually gives up the hold.

Pidasso is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Six is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Stu Pidasso!
