Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin comes to the cage accompanied by Six Million Dollar Man. Steve Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Austin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Walker!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Austin.
Walker wants to clinch

and Austin counters with a takedown into side control.
Austin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Walker is avoiding damage well.
Sloppy strikes there by Austin.
Austin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Austin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Austin tries to score with some ground and pound. Walker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Austin has hold of Walker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Walker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Austin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Austin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Walker has closed the distance and engaged Austin in a clinch.

Austin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Walker tries to break free but Austin pushes him back against the cage.

Austin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walker.
Some bone on bone action there as Austin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Austin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Austin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Walker misses with a body shot.
Austin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Walker slips a jab and a cross from Austin.
Walker cracks Austin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Steve Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Austin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Walker.
Austin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Austin slips under a jab.
Walker takes one on the button.

Austin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Walker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walker parries the strikes from Austin easily there. Austin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Walker to escape.

Austin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Austin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
