Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwetty closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Phoenix to the mat! Phoenix manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Schwetty is looking to work some ground and pound but Phoenix has wrist control.
Phoenix tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Phoenix working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schwetty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schwetty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Phoenix pushes Schwetty off and gets back to his feet.
Oooooh!!! Schwetty has knocked Phoenix down with a huge combo! Schwetty steps away and waves a wobbly Phoenix back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Johnny Phoenix has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Schwetty sizes up Phoenix with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
