Marie II kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You´re the voice - John Farnham. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vesa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marie II was well out of range. Poor timing from Vesa.
Marie II rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vesa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vesa shoots in looking for a takedown. Marie II tries to sprawl out of it but Vesa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marie II manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Marie II feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
