Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derick Garciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Poll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garciano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poll gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Poll with a flurry of punches that miss.
Poll missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Garciano wants to stand and escape but Poll is having none of it.
Poll is looking to stand up but Garciano won't let him.
Poll wants to stand and escape but instead Garciano has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Poll is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Poll throws his legs up looking for a submission but Garciano uses it to pass to side control.

We're going to have a standup here because Derick Garciano wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Poll fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Garciano to the ground. Poll is now in Garciano's guard.

Poll throws a big right hand that misses.
Poll is looking to work some ground and pound but Garciano has wrist control.

Poll stands and steps away. Garciano gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Poll changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garciano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Poll is trying to get an arm triangle but Garciano is defending well.
Poll creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Garciano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Garciano parries the strikes from Poll easily there. Poll is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Garciano to escape.

Kris Poll showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kris Poll.

and Garciano makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Garciano gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Poll to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Poll gets to his feet. Garciano looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Derick Garciano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Poll.
