Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romanov comes to the cage accompanied by Greatest song ever made. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Junior!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Junior counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Sergei Romanov has been cut.
David Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Junior tries to land a body kick

and Romanov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Romanov.

Junior breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Junior throws a poor cross that misses

and Romanov counters by moving into the clinch.

Romanov lands an elbow inside that Junior shrugs off.
Junior tries to break the clinch but Romanov is controlling the position.

Junior tries to bum rush Romanov with a series of wild strikes but Romanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Romanov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Junior.

Junior misses with an uppercut. Romanov saw that one coming.
Romanov ducks under a wild hook from Junior.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Junior.
Junior moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Romanov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Romanov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Romanov sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Junior is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Romanov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Junior controls the pace.
