The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dossier clinches up against the cage.
Dossier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dossier works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Dossier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dossier, into his guard.
Dossier is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dossier dives on top into guard.
Dossier lands a couple of elbows.
Dossier trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.

Sanchez keeping full guard, as Dossier tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dossier advances position into side control!
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Dossier lands some shots froms side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dossier trying to control the position but Sanchez is working away.

Dossier decides to stand back up.
Dossier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sanchez counters with a left and a right that stings Dossier.
Dossier misses with a head kick.
Dossier looks to land a combination but Sanchez avoids it well.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dossier swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dossier controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself.
Dossier is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Dossier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard.
Dossier wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Dossier tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dossier trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Dossier wasn't active enough on the ground.

Dossier moves into the clinch.
Dossier tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanchez smiles and moves away.
Diego Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Dossier.
Dossier throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.
Dossier shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sanchez defends it nicely.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Dossier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dossier tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanchez swivels and escapes.

Dossier looking to control but Sanchez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dossier lands a nice shot to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
