Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Tracy!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gracie there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tracy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tracy is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tracy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gracie has hold of Tracy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tracy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Tracy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tracy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Royce Gracie!
