PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sandman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman. Gunn has chosen England belongs to me as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sandman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Sandman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sandman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gunn lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sandman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sandman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sandman has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Sandman will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shawn Sandman.
I think Sandman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
