Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Byeongsuk Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baz Baldwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kim might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Choi Hong Man-Beauty and the Beast. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 3, fighting out of London, Byeongsuk Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Baz Baldwin!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim misses with a right hand
and Baldwin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Byeongsuk Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Kim does it's job there.
Kim tries to bum rush Baldwin with a series of wild strikes but Baldwin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kim fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Baldwin is out of range.
Kim throws a body punch but Baldwin moves out of range.
Kim throws out a powerful jab.
Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but Baldwin is just out of range.
Baldwin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kim fails to land with a series of punches.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kim.
Kim sizes up Baldwin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kim swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Baldwin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Baldwin misses with a low kick.
Kim tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Baldwin jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Kim misses with a hook.
Kim keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baldwin.
Kim lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.

Kim throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Baldwin was covering up waiting for the punch and Kim finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baldwin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Baldwin's legs - danger averted.
Kim is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Baldwin is retaining full guard.
Baldwin keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kim is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Byeongsuk Kim.
Baldwin takes one on the button.
Kim wants to clinch up but Baldwin keeps it at a distance.

Kim scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Baldwin swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kim blocks a jab.
Kim with a jab.
Kim misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Baldwin.
Baldwin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kim works Baldwin's body with a nice hook.

and Baldwin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kim thinking.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Baldwin, right into the meat.
Kim looks to throw the jab but Baldwin is out of range.
Baldwin shoots in but no luck this time.
Baldwin is looking to chop away at Kim's legs.
Baldwin throws a lazy uppercut
and Kim counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Kim lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Baldwin at a distance.
Kim misses with a body shot
and Baldwin counters with a slapping leg kick.
Kim lands a nice hook to Baldwin's body. Baldwin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baldwin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baldwin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kim throws out the jab.
Kim swings for the body but Baldwin moves out of range.
Kim dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kim shoots for a double leg takedown but Baldwin sprawls well. He's pushed Kim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Baldwin avoids the body shot from Kim.
Kim is looking to wear down Baldwin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kim lunges at Baldwin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Baldwin's hand.
Kim connects with a body shot.
Baldwin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kim lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kim lands with a nice body punch.
Good standup being displayed there by Kim as he connects with a hook.

Kim is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baldwin moves forwards but Kim connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kim's jab looks to have found its range, popping Baldwin under the eye.

Kim lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kim fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baldwin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Byeongsuk Kim is winning the standup battle so far.
Baldwin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Baldwin is breathing heavily.
Kim shoots in looking for a takedown. Baldwin tries to sprawl out of it but Kim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baldwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kim misses with a wild body shot.

Kim scores with a jab.
Baldwin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kim.
Kim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baldwin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
Kim cracks the inside of Baldwin's front leg.
Kim lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Baz Baldwin has been cut.
Baldwin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Baldwin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baldwin but Baldwin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim looks to throw the jab but Baldwin is out of range.

Kim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baldwin defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Byeongsuk Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baldwin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kim misses with a takedown attempt - Baldwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kim lands a nice hook to Baldwin's body. Baldwin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kim is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Baldwin can do to turn this around?

and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Baldwin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Baldwin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kim throws a leg kick which misses Baldwin's front leg but catches the back leg as Baldwin tries to avoid it.

Kim throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Baldwin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd cheers as Kim lands an impressive looking overhand right. Baldwin doesn't seem phased though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Baldwin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kim's calf.
Kim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Baldwin circles away.
Kim misses with a low kick.
Kim takes a swing at Baldwin's ribcage but misses.

and Baldwin counters by clinching up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kim throws a head punch that misses.
Baldwin lands a shot to the body.
Kim lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Baldwin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kim stalling in the clinch but Baldwin improves position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Kim feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Baldwins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kim connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Baldwin's hands.
Kim wants to clinch.
Kim misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kim misses with an uppercut. Baldwin saw that one coming.

Kim drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Baldwin sneaks back into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Baldwin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kim wants to control from the top but Baldwin keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Byeongsuk Kim just wasn't active enough.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kim. That's going to slow Baldwin down.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim is looking to take a break and control but Baldwin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kim lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Baldwin down.

Byeongsuk Kim showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
