Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheamus McIntrye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McIntrye is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Written in my Face. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson swings for the body but McIntrye moves out of range.
McIntrye with a poor takedown
and Lawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McIntrye has his takedown stuffed
and Lawson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lawson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Sheamus McIntrye has been cut.
McIntrye fails with the takedown
and Lawson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Eric Lawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sheamus McIntrye.
Lawson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McIntryes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McIntrye tries for a takedown but Lawson circles away easily
and Lawson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Lawson counters with a straight right hand.
Lawson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McIntrye looks gassed!
McIntrye has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McIntrye misses with an uppercut
and Lawson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McIntrye looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McIntrye takes one on the chin but seems OK.

McIntrye's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lawson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McIntrye scrambles back to his feet.
Sheamus McIntrye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lawson drops McIntrye with a left and a right! Oh, McIntrye is hurt - Lawson dives into side control looking to finish!

McIntrye is rocked!
Lawson takes a little break here. McIntrye wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Lawson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
McIntrye is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lawson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for McIntrye.

Lawson connects with a single shot there.
McIntrye takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lawson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lawson duly obliges.
Lawson scores with a nice right hand.

That has opened up Sheamus McIntrye's cut even more.
Lawson lands a jab to McIntrye's midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lawson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lawson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Lawson misses with a double jab.
McIntrye throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lawson counters with a stiff right hand.
Lawson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McIntrye.
Lawson lands with a nice combination. McIntrye backs away looking to recover.
McIntrye on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lawson closes the distance and lands a one-two.

The crowd cheers as Lawson lands an impressive looking overhand right. McIntrye doesn't seem phased though.
McIntrye misses with a takedown attempt
and McIntrye takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McIntrye is still on wobbly legs! Can Lawson finish him?

and Lawson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McIntrye seems to have recovered his senses.
Lawson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McIntrye.
Lawson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
McIntrye is breathing heavily.

Lawson drops McIntrye with a right and a left! Lawson comes rushing in but McIntrye regains his composure and manages to keep Lawson in guard.

Lawson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lawson stands up and waves to McIntrye to follow him.
McIntrye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
McIntrye's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lawson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McIntrye scrambles back to his feet.

Lawson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends McIntrye sprawling to the canvas. Lawson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can McIntrye hang on?

The cut above Sheamus McIntrye's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lawson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McIntrye can do to turn this around?

Lawson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lawson tries to bum rush McIntrye with a series of wild strikes but McIntrye uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lawson thuds his right hand into McIntrye's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Sheamus McIntrye's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Lawson connects with a combination that backs up McIntrye into the cage. Lawson lands a flurry of punches that gets past McIntrye's guard. McIntrye is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Lawson bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
