Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Wynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandman comes into the arena with Enter Sandman blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Wynn's choice of entrance music: Flower Of Scotland - Red Hot Chilli Pipers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Sandman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Willie Wynn!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wynn looks to land a left hand but Sandman moved out of range nicely.
Wynn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sandman.
A big right from Sandman misses.
Nice shot lands for Wynn.

Wynn moves into range and clinches up with Sandman.
Sandman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wynn just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sandman tries to stall but Wynn uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Wynn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wynn swinging wildly here.
Wynn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wynn misses with a looping right.
Sandman lands with a good body shot.

Sandman scores with a head kick. Wynn tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wynn missing with a left hand there. Sandman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sandman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wynn.
Wynn misses with a straight left.
Wynn has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sandman.

Sloppy strikes from Wynn. Those never looked like landing.
Wynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sandman as he jumps to the side.
Wynn lands with a nice combination. Sandman backs away looking to recover.

Sandman gets caught flat footed, as Wynn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Wynn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sandman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wynn, into his guard.

Wynn wants to stand up but Sandman is controlling him.
Wynn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sandman controls the pace.

Wynn is not content to let Sandman control the position.
Wynn wants to get back to his feet.

Sandman is trying to control. Wynn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We're going to have a standup here because Shawn Sandman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sandman lands a really nice looking cross but Wynn seems unphased.

Sandman swings for the body but Wynn moves out of range.

A close round but Willie Wynn will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Willie Wynn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Sandman counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wynn thinking.

Sandman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wynn moves away.
Wynn throws a big shot that misses.
Sandman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wynn counters with a slapping leg kick.
Wynn tries for a takedown but Sandman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shawn Sandman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willie Wynn.
Wynn shoots in for a takedown but Sandman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Horrible takedown by Wynn or perhaps it was just good defense by Sandman which made him look bad.

Wynn throws a push kick but Sandman slaps the foot to one side.

and Sandman counters with a right hand to the body.
Sandman sizes up Wynn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Sandman is looking to wear down Wynn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Wynn counters with a nice uppercut.
Sandman throws a body punch but Wynn moves out of range.
Sandman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sandman throws a front kick aimed at Wynn's knee but Wynn avoids it well.
Sandman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wynn.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wynn.
Wynn takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shawn Sandman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Sandman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sandman misses with a hook. Wynn ducked under it nicely.
Wynn misses with a double jab.
Wynn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sandman manages to avoid it.

Wynn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wynn showed some decent athleticism there.
Wynn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wynn is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sandman has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wynn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Wynn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sandman is on top in guard.

and Wynn counters with a thumping low kick.
Sandman throws a shot from downtown. Wynn moves away and avoids it.
Wynn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sandman manages to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Willie Wynn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wynn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
