Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Jaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urijah Faber !
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa tries to clinch up.
Faber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jaa sprawls well. Jaa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Faber gets slowly back to his feet.
Faber shoots for a double leg takedown but Jaa sprawls well. He's pushed Faber 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Faber doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jaa counters with a head kick that drops Faber to the mat! Faber scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Faber is rocked!
Tony Jaa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber .

Jaa closes the distance and clinches.
Faber is still on wobbly legs! Can Jaa finish him?
Jaa has Faber pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Faber is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Jaa - that's hurt Faber badly! Oh, another knee lands and Faber is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Faber doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Tony Jaa!
