Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Tran!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Durden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tran connects with a high kick.

It looks like Kevin Tran has been cut.
Durden throws a series of punches but Tran moves out of range.
Durden misses with a series of wild punches.
Tran feints and then cracks Durden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Durden down.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Durden, right into the meat.
Tran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Durden drops Tran with a beautiful combination! Tran stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Durden is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tran is trying to break the clinch but Durden has him pressed against the cage.
Tran connects with a knee to the head.
Tran has had enough of the clinch but Durden keeps him there for the moment.
Durden pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Tran looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Durden tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tran smiles and moves away.
Tran scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tran throws a nice looking combination but Durden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tran dodges the punch combination from Durden.
Durden fails with a takedown attempt.
Tran shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durden as he avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tran bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tran stalks Durden and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Durden's face. Durden staggers backwards, shaken.

Tran gets tackled into the cage by Durden. Durden maintains the clinch.
Durden has a couple of punches blocked by Tran.
Tran working hard to break the clinch.

Durden successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durden keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully.
Durden pulls Tran in close to prevent any damage.
Durden's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
