Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed al Zawahiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucius Vorenus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohammed al Zawahiri had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vorenus lets loose with a powerful body kick. al Zawahiri will feel that in the morning.
Vorenus looks for the body kick but al Zawahiri saw that one coming.
Vorenus keeps the fight on the outside.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Vorenus.
al Zawahiri is trying to escape the position but Vorenus is controlling the position.
Vorenus moves into full mount!
al Zawahiri is squirming around, avoiding Vorenus's attempts to control the action.
al Zawahiri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vorenus on the ground.

Vorenus has control of al Zawahiri's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and al Zawahiri regains control of the situation pretty easily.

al Zawahiri really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well, with Vorenus on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before al Zawahiri is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Vorenus is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. al Zawahiri is defending well though. Vorenus let's go of the attempt for now.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

al Zawahiri throws a head kick but Vorenus moves out of range.

A right hook to the body lands for Vorenus.

al Zawahiri wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vorenus. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Vorenus throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Vorenus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

al Zawahiri throws a chopping leg kick but Vorenus manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Vorenus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches al Zawahiri on the side of the head.
Mohammed al Zawahiri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Vorenus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vorenus takes a little break here. al Zawahiri wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Vorenus is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. al Zawahiri looks calm but he's in trouble here. Vorenus gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. al Zawahiri is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vorenus lets go of the hold and al Zawahiri can pop his arm back in it's socket.
