Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Askal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). johnson has chosen the rock says as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dwayne johnson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Askal swings for the body but johnson moves out of range.

johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
johnson tries to advance to mount but Askal denies him.
Askal is trying to get back to his feet.
johnson staying calm.

johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Askal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Askal wants it to stay on the feet.
Askal misses with the combination.
johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Askal tries to avoid it but johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Askal to the ground. Askal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Horrible takedown by johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Askal which made him look bad.

Askal throws a series of punches but johnson avoids them all with ease.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Askal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but johnson checks it well.

That's time! Askal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Askal tries to sprawl out of it but johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Askal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Askal is proving hard to escape from.
johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Askal comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Askal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Askal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Askal throws a hook to the side of johnson 's head but johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Askal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from johnson .

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dwayne johnson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Askal is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Askal and johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
