Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andre Queixao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Queixao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ariel Piechocki!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queixao fails to land with a series of punches.
Piechocki tries to close the distance and clinch but Queixao swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ariel Piechocki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Piechocki wants to clinch but Queixao slips to the side

and Queixao counters by moving into the clinch.
Piechocki jumps guard but Queixao stands there with Piechocki around his waist. Piechocki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Piechocki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Queixao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Piechocki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Queixao smiles and moves away.
Andre Queixao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ariel Piechocki.
Piechocki moves to clinch but Queixao breaks away

and Queixao counters by clinching up.
Piechocki has Queixao pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Queixao manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Queixao is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Piechocki can't fight it off and eventually Queixao manages to take the fight to the floor. Piechocki looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Queixao is breathing heavily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Piechocki is on top in guard.
Piechocki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Piechocki drops an elbow to the side of Queixao's head.
Piechocki is taking a breather. Queixao says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Queixao on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Piechocki drops an elbow to the side of Queixao's head.
Still in half guard, Piechocki seems content to control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Piechocki connects with a nice short shot to Queixao's temple.
Queixao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Piechocki on the ground.
Piechocki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Piechocki takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
It looks like Piechocki might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Piechocki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Piechocki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Queixao!

Ariel Piechocki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Queixao throws a series of punches but Piechocki moves out of range.

Piechocki clinches up with Queixao and pushes him back against the cage.
Queixao's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Queixao is pressed up against the cage. Piechocki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Queixao down to the mat. Queixao avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Piechocki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Piechocki throws a body kick that misses.

Piechocki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Queixao's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Piechocki is in close to Queixao's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Piechocki decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Queixao, up you get!

Queixao has taken the fight to the clinch.
Piechocki jumps guard but Queixao stands there with Piechocki around his waist. Piechocki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Piechocki is looking to take a break and control but Queixao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Ariel Piechocki.
