The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - York circles away.

York looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
York seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in York's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson lands a big head kick that sends York to the canvas! Johnson follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
