Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffe Zampietre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeffe Zampietre has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffe Zampietre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt has his takedown stuffed
and Zampietre counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hunt's guard now.
Zampietre not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hunt wants to stand but Zampietre is controlling the position.
Hunt trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Hunt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zampietre is aware though and is defending well.
Zampietre is looking to work some ground and pound but Hunt has wrist control.
Hunt keeping full guard, as Zampietre tries to pass.
Hunt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hunt working for a triangle but Zampietre defends it easily.
Hunt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Zampietre is controlling Hunt's trapped leg to prevent Hunt from advancing to side control.
Hunt tries to stand and escape but Zampietre is controlling the position.

Hunt is stalling here. Zampietre is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hunt seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Zampietre has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Zampietre wants to take a breather but Hunt manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Zampietre.
Zampietre wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
Hunt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Zampietre is desperately trying to improve his position but Hunt has a good base and remains in mount.

Hunt get's back to his feet.
Zampietre is breathing heavily.
Hunt shoots in and gets a takedown into Zampietre's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hunt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Zampietre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hunt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zampietre looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zampietre looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zampietre!
Hunt manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mike Hunt will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zampietre as he jumps to the side.
Jeffe Zampietre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Zampietre misses with a head kick.
Zampietre with a poor takedown
and Hunt counters with a shoot takedown. Zampietre fights it but they end up in guard.
Hunt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hunt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Zampietre, pushing him back against the cage.

Zampietre wants a takedown but no success here.
Hunt is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zampietre can't fight it off and eventually Hunt manages to take the fight to the floor. Zampietre looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hunt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hunt tries to free his leg and advance position but Zampietre is retaining full guard.

Hunt advances position into side control!
Mike Hunt has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hunt has an Americana. Zampietre didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hunt is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hunt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
