Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Abbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murray comes to the cage accompanied by Fire-Kasabian. Joe Abbles has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray keeps the fight on the outside.

Abbles is trying to force a seperation but Murray has the dominant position.
Abbles throws a head punch that misses.
Murray is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murray goes for a takedown in the clinch but Abbles prevents it.

Murray has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Abbles avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Abbles makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Abbles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murray thinking.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Abbles gets underhooks to prevent Murray's takedown attempt.

Murray jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Abbles walks away with a smile on his face. Murray gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Murray takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Abbles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Murray shoots and misses
and Murray takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Abbles counters with a right hand to the body.
Abbles fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Abbles jabs Murray to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Murray takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Abbles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Abbles throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Murray on the side of the head.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Murray. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abbles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Murray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abbles tries to avoid it but Murray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abbles to the ground. Abbles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Abbles is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Murray rather than just go for the knockout.

Murray takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Abbles is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Joe Abbles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Joe Abbles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Abbles has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
