Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Klein East!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ignatius Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly throws a lazy head kick
and East connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A chopping leg kick lands by Reilly.
East misses with a low kick as Reilly jumps back.
Reilly gets off balance looking for a body kick
and East makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reilly takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Ignatius Reilly has been cut.
A low kick from Reilly misses
and East makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ignatius Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
East thows a leg kick but Reilly checks it
and Reilly counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A nice leg kick lands there from East.
East misses the shot to the body.
East throws a head kick that misses.
East swings and misses with a hook to the body.

East feints and as Reilly raises his hands in defense, East changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
East postures up in Reilly's guard and throws a big left but Reilly blocks it.
East is pushing down on Reilly's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reilly is fighting to maintain full guard but East has managed to sneak the leg through.
Reilly is trying to get back to full guard.
East wants to take a breather but Reilly is having none of it.
East looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
East perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

East trying to control from half guard but Reilly is working away.
Reilly controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
East has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reilly is looking to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Klein East has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Reilly dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A low kick from East is predictable there
and Reilly counters with an outside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
East fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reilly cracks East with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Reilly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
East throws a body punch but Reilly moves out of range.

and East counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

East digs a good body shot into Reilly's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice takedown defense from Reilly. No joy for East on that attempt.

enabling East to counter with a crisp jab.

East takes a swing at Reilly's ribcage but misses.
Reilly with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and East counters with a low kick, right behind Reilly 's knee.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
East misses the body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Reilly throws a lazy body kick
and East counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Reilly thinking.

A solid leg kick lands there for East.
East has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Reilly.
A lazy body kick from Reilly
and East counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
East swats away the attempt to clinch by Reilly.

Reilly tries to clinch up.
A low kick from Reilly is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Reilly wants to slow East down by chopping away at his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reilly scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ignatius Reilly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

East looking to sit in guard and control but Reilly gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Reilly wanted to stand there but East had control of the position.
Reilly won't allow East to sweep him here.

Reilly gets to his feet. East looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
East throws a predictable looking body shot
and Reilly counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Ignatius Reilly seems to be getting the better of the standup.
East fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Reilly fakes the leg kick and cracks East in the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reilly throws a quick inside leg kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reilly throws a half hearted mid kick.
Reilly turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reilly wants to land a leg kick but East is out of range.

East checks a low kick from Reilly.
East motions for Reilly to come forward. East throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Reilly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reilly avoids the body shot from East.
Reilly tried to score with a low kick but East checks it.
East is looking to wear down Reilly with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Reilly misses with a leg kick
and East counters with an inside leg kick.
Reilly wants to land a leg kick but East is out of range.
Reilly moves to clinch but East breaks away
and East counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Reilly gets off balance looking for a body kick
and East connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ignatius Reilly comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Reilly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
