Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rock N Roll-Led Zeppelin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper misses with a takedown

and Morton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cooper's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cooper keeping moving, preventing Morton from controlling successfully.
Cooper wants to stand but Morton is controlling the position.
Morton wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving.

Cooper kicks Morton off and gets to his feet.

Ricky Morton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Cooper.

Cooper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Morton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Cooper is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cooper has hold of Morton's hands but Morton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Morton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Morton is taking a breather. Cooper says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cooper on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Morton slips a nice elbow through Cooper's hands, connecting with Cooper's forehead.
Morton scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Morton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cooper keeps working.
Morton is stalling here. Cooper is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Morton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cooper has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Cooper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morton to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cooper is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Morton has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Cooper taps out instantly and this one is all over!
