The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Webster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Webster wants it to stay on the feet.
Mercer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A jab-cross combination lands for Mercer and sends Webster crashing to the mat! Mercer follows him down to the mat - Webster regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mercer content to control rather than advance.
Webster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mercer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ray Mercer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Webster is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mercer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
