Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Naylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuubijs Varenais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varenais shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Naylor pinned against the cage. Naylor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Varenais looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Naylor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Naylor lands in his opponent's guard.

Varenais is wriggling around trying to escape.
Varenais really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Naylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Varenais defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Naylor's arms.

and Naylor moves into the clinch.

Naylor has Varenais pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Naylor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Varenais tumbling to the mat - Naylor dives into Varenais's guard.

Varenais is working an open guard so Naylor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Naylor could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Naylor throws a head kick but Varenais moves out of range.

Naylor turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Naylor manages to end up in side control.

Naylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Varenais looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Naylor creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Naylor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Varenais's shoulder. That is not cool.

Naylor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Varenais tries to roll over but Naylor keeps him under control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Varenais wants to control but Naylor is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Naylor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Varenais defends it well.

Naylor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Troy Naylor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Naylor drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Varenais trying to remain calm as Naylor controls from the top position.
Varenais is trying to control Naylor's posture but Naylor avoids it.
Naylor lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Varenais down.
Naylor is staying tight to Varenais's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Naylor decides to stand back up. Naylor steps back and let's Varenais get back to his feet.

Naylor forces Varenais back against the cage and clinches.

Naylor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Naylor is looking to clinch but Varenais is avoiding it.
