Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Labayen Luceno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Unitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Labayen Luceno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Unitas!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unitas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Luceno counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Luceno.
Luceno manages to break the clinch.
Luceno pushes Unitas up against the cage in a clinch.
Luceno throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Unitas blocks it with crossed arms.
Luceno scores with a shot to the side of Unitas's head.

Unitas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Luceno is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Luceno stays in close to Unitas's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Labayen Luceno just wasn't active enough.
Luceno fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luceno can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Unitas is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Luceno counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Luceno lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Luceno is taking a breather. Unitas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Labayen Luceno has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Luceno shoots in for a double leg but Unitas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Luceno decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Unitas's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Luceno controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Luceno wants to pass the guard but Unitas is keeping the position.

Unitas tries to pull guard but Luceno holds him up against the cage and eventually Unitas drops back down to his feet.

and Luceno counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Luceno.
Unitas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Luceno stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Unitas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Luceno counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Unitas!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Luceno has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Unitas's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Luceno jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Unitas manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Luceno is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Unitas has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Labayen Luceno dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Luceno looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Unitas works Luceno's body with a nice hook.
Luceno misses with a straight left.
Unitas misses with a takedown attempt
and Luceno counters with a nice double leg into side control. Unitas won't be happy with that.
Luceno is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Unitas can do to turn this around?
Unitas parries the strikes from Luceno easily there. Luceno is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Unitas to escape.
Unitas is not content to let Luceno control the position.
Labayen Luceno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Luceno tries for a kimura but Unitas is defending well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Unitas is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
David Unitas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Luceno decides to stand up, so the ref orders Unitas to his feet.
Luceno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Unitas's waist but Unitas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Luceno off to one side.
Unitas stalks Luceno and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Luceno's face. Luceno staggers backwards, shaken.
Sloppy strikes from Unitas. Those never looked like landing.
Unitas slaps away a takedown attempt from Luceno, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Luceno gets caught flat footed, as Unitas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Luceno keeping moving, preventing Unitas from controlling successfully.

Unitas is looking to work some ground and pound but Luceno has wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Luceno shoots in looking for a takedown. Unitas tries to sprawl out of it but Luceno keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Unitas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Labayen Luceno. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Luceno holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Luceno's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Labayen Luceno is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Unitas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Unitas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Luceno is controlling him.

Labayen Luceno showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luceno, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
