Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duirmund OBrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long lands with a right hand.

so OBrien counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
OBrien advances to half guard.
OBrien is looking to advance position but Long won't allow it.

Long really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Long stuffs the takedown attempt from OBrien. OBrien gets slowly back to his feet.

OBrien tries to score a power double leg takedown but Long sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten OBrien somewhat.
OBrien tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Long swivels and escapes.
Frank Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duirmund OBrien.

OBrien thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Long looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

OBrien rushes Long and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Long defends well against a solid takedown attempt from OBrien.

Long has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

OBrien escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
OBrien closes this distance looking for a takedown but Long circles away.
Long jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Long misses the body punch

and OBrien counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Long!

OBrien throws some wild stikes that Long manages to avoid easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OBrien successfully pulls guard.
Long wanted to stand there but OBrien had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OBrien is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Long is looking to get back to is feet but OBrien passes into side control.

Long parries the strikes from OBrien easily there. OBrien is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Long to escape.
Long is looking to work his way out of this bad position but OBrien is controlling him well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A lull in the action here as OBrien stalls from top position.

OBrien wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Long, who protects the arm well.
Long gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
OBrien fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
