Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leon Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelvin Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao's entrance music is RAWR. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kelvin Black!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lao dives in and scores a takedown into Black's guard.
Black working a defensive guard here.
Lao throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Black works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lao working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lao won't allow Black to sweep him here.

Black looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Black has his hands on Lao's head, controlling the position.

Black pushes Lao off and gets back to his feet.

Black has closed the distance and engaged Lao in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Black wants a takedown.
Lao fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lao on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Black drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lao can't get the takedown.
Lao misses with a knee strike.

Lao tightens his grip and picks Black up, before dumping him to the ground. Black manages to land in guard.

Black had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lao defends it easily.

Lao controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lao looking to sit in guard and control but Black gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lao keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully.
Black tries to free his leg and advance position but Lao is retaining full guard.
Lao wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A combination from Lao does no damage.

Black clinches up against the cage.

Black tries to break the clinch but Lao is controlling the position.

Lao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Black pushes Lao up against the cage in a clinch.
Lao lands a body shot in the clinch.
Black is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lao pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Leon Lao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelvin Black.
Black drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kelvin Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black rushes Lao and presses him up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Black tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lao avoids it.
Lao changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Black fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lao tries to keep at a distance but Black has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lao breaks from the clinch.
Lao scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Black rushes Lao and presses him up against the cage.
Black is trying to break the clinch but Lao has him pressed against the cage.
Lao jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Black walks away with a smile on his face. Lao gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lao scores a takedown into full mount!
Lao connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lao scoring with strikes but Black is staying in there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Lao drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lao is sitting in close to Black's body. Black has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lao is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lao is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Black.
