Calzaghe stuffs the takedown attempt from Macgregor. Macgregor gets slowly back to his feet.

Macgregor looking to score a takedown here. Calzaghe is defending well but Macgregor drives through and ends up in Calzaghe's guard.
Calzaghe seems keen to control Macgregor's posture.

Macgregor drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Calzaghe dives on top into guard.
Calzaghe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Calzaghe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Author Calzaghe just wasn't active enough.

and Calzaghe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Macgregor drops his hands momentarily. Calzaghe doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Macgregor staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Macgregor doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
