The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Davis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ortiz momentarily.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Davis.
Ortiz shoots in looking for a takedown but Davis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ortiz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd cheers as Davis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ortiz doesn't seem phased though.

Ortiz is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Davis off. It looks like it's working - Davis slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Ortiz displaying calm under pressure there.
