The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Maddox throws a right hand that Hunt ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunt also avoids with ease.
Hunt moves away from the strike by Maddox.
Maddox throws a hook to the side of Hunt's head but Hunt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Maddox darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hunt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Maddox scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hunt tries to kick Maddox off in order to stand up. Maddox Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Maddox's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hunt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Maddox asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Maddox will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Maddox is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hunt's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
