The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunia throws a leg kick but Reyes sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sunia thinking.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sunia lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reyes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reyes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Faoa Sunia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reyes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sunia manages to avoid it.

Reyes shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Reyes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sunia thinking.

Sunia is trying desperately to land a takedown but Reyes is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sunia.
Sunia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reyes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reyes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
