The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mira throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Mira throws a sloppy body shot

and Silva counters by clinching up.
Mira is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Silva swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mira gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.
Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A nice left hand lands by Silva.
Silva misses with a punch on the inside.
Silva scores with a nice hook to the head.
Silva has had enough of the clinch but Mira keeps him there for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva advances to half guard.
Mira avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Silva.
Silva wants to control but Mira is keeping him busy.
Silva throwing shots but Mira is blocking nicely.
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mira's head.

Silva lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Silva is working for a kimura but Mira is defending it quite comfortably.

Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mira does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
