The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nugzarov slaps away a takedown attempt from Christo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Christo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Christo cracks Nugzarov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Nugzarov in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nugzarov closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Christo! Nugzarov dives in looking to finish! Christo is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
