Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Gerbik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suzuki Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayabusa has chosen Sakura as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Gerbik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Suzuki Hayabusa!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayabusa throws a right hand that misses
and Gerbik makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Hayabusa misses with a shot to the body
and Gerbik counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hayabusa on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gerbik. Gerbik obviously looking to wear him down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gerbik misses with a leg kick.
Gerbik throws a sloppy body shot
letting Hayabusa counter with a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gerbik takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hayabusa avoids a kick to the body.
Hayabusa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gerbik.
Hayabusa misses with a right hand
and Gerbik counters with a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hayabusa misses with an uppercut.
Hayabusa's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gerbik under the eye.
Hayabusa throws a lazy uppercut
and Gerbik connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A shot to the body from Gerbik misses
and Hayabusa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hayabusa looks to score with a jab to the body but Gerbik is just out of range.
Hayabusa scores with a jab to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gerbik.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hayabusa misses the shot to the body.
Hayabusa misses with a hook
and Gerbik counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Gerbik throws a low kick but Hayabusa avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hayabusa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Suzuki Hayabusa dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Gerbik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Gerbik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A big left from Gerbik misses.

Hayabusa looking to score a takedown here. Gerbik is defending well but Hayabusa drives through and ends up in Gerbik's guard.
Gerbik is trying to control the position but Hayabusa postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hayabusa passes into half guard.

Hayabusa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gerbik doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayabusa.
Gerbik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gerbik tries to get out of the position.

Hayabusa maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gerbik could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hayabusa has cracked it and Gerbik is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hayabusa!
