WR has chosen Armin Van Buuren - Yet Another Day as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowrey moves to clinch but WR breaks away

and WR counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by WR.

Lowrey manages to escape and get back to his feet.

so WR counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
WR really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lowrey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lowrey is looking to stand up but WR isn't so interested in that idea.
Lowrey keeping full guard, as WR tries to pass.
Lowrey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for WR!
This has been an exciting period of action!
WR is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lowrey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as WR is looking to escape.

Lowrey has hold of WR's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and WR manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lowrey working for a guillotine from mount but WR is in no mood to give up.
Lowrey sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lowrey seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but WR is holding on tight.
Lowrey wants to control the pace but WR is squirming around nicely.
WR is in all sorts of trouble here.
WR is squirming around, avoiding Lowrey's attempts to control the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
WR is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lowrey wants to control the pace but WR is squirming around nicely.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Raesa WR will probably get the nod.

and WR counters by moving into the clinch.

WR jumps into guard, dragging Lowrey to the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if WR can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lowrey passes WR's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Lowrey is trying to control. WR wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lowrey wants to pass the guard but WR is defending well.
WR desperately trying to maintain half guard.
WR pushes Lowrey off looking to stand but Lowrey dives back in and keeps control.
WR wants to control but Lowrey is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

so WR counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

WR is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lowrey has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. WR is looking to defend but Lowrey has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for WR! Lowrey pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, WR taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mike Lowrey!
