Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andres Aguinaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yedo Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen "We Be Clubbin (Eye of the Tiger Remix)" by Ice Cube as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Aguinaldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yedo Kim!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguinaldo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kim counters with a solid body kick.
Kim misses with a lunging right hand
and Aguinaldo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kim throws a looping overhand right but Aguinaldo ducks down to avoid it.
Nice jab there from Kim.
Yedo Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aguinaldo tests Kim's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Aguinaldo takes a swing at Kim's ribcage but misses.
Kim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kim throws a leg kick that is checked
and Aguinaldo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Aguinaldo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aguinaldo somewhat.

Kim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aguinaldo misses with a right hand
and Kim makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Aguinaldo blocks a head kick by Kim.

Aguinaldo shoots in and gets a takedown into Kim's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aguinaldo moves forwards but Kim connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Aguinaldo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kim counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kim throws a lazy uppercut
and Aguinaldo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Aguinaldo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.

Aguinaldo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Aguinaldo is looking to wear down Kim with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Aguinaldo shoots in and gets a takedown into Kim's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Aguinaldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Aguinaldo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andres Aguinaldo just wasn't active enough.

Aguinaldo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kim trying to hold on to Aguinaldo's head to control him but Aguinaldo postures up.
Kim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Aguinaldo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kim manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Aguinaldo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kim misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Aguinaldo counters with a nice uppercut.

Aguinaldo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Aguinaldo is trying to control the action in half guard but Kim is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Aguinaldo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working.

Yedo Kim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Andres Aguinaldo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Aguinaldo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Aguinaldo is looking to advance position but Kim won't allow it.

Kim wants to control but Aguinaldo passes into side.
Kim is trying to escape the position but Aguinaldo is controlling the position.

Aguinaldo is trying to move to mount but Kim reverses beautifully and ends up in Aguinaldo's guard.
Aguinaldo has a closed guard, preventing Kim from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguinaldo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kim is fighting to break Aguinaldo's control of his arms but Aguinaldo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Andres Aguinaldo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kim.
Andres Aguinaldo is winning the standup battle so far.
Kim attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andres Aguinaldo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Aguinaldo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
