The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tankian throws a looping overhand right but Kari ducks down to avoid it.
Kari rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tankian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tankian throws a sloppy body shot
and Kari counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tankian on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kari lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tankian misses with a looping left.

and Kari counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

letting Kari counter with a right hand.
Nice uppercut lands for Kari. That snapped Tankian's head back.
Kari lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tankian dodges the punch combination from Kari.
Tankian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tankian is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kari cracks Tankian with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kari lands a nice hook to Tankian's body. Tankian takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Tankian takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kari is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tankian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kari lands a lovely overhand right.
Kari displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tankian throws out the jab.

Tankian moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kari looks to land a combination. Tankian sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tankian takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kari jabs Tankian right on the nose. Tankian blinks but takes it well.
Kari paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tankian. Kari does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tankian throws a sloppy head kick and Kari moves out of range easily.
Kari scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Kari counters with a three punch combo that has Tankian backing up. Tankian nods at Kari to acknowledge the strikes.
A left and a right from Kari both land. Nice combination.
Kari throws a series of strikes that have Tankian backpedaling.
Tankian is rocked!
Kari's corner calls for a 1-2. Kari obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tankian is still on wobbly legs! Can Kari finish him?
Tankian takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kari lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tankian walks into a left hand.
Kari connects with a nice looking jab.
Izaac Kari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A lazy left from Kari finds it's target.
Kari is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Kari throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Tankian crashing down! Tankian tries to stagger back to his feet but Kari just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Tankian asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Izaac Kari!
