Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ashat Gaziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashat Gaziev has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ashat Gaziev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Boy!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaziev tries for a takedown but Boy circles away easily

and Boy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gaziev won't be happy with that.
Boy scoring with punches and elbows.
Boy working the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gaziev regains half guard there - taking advantage of Boy's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Boy tries to stand but can't do so whilst Gaziev controls his leg.
Boy thows a huge punch but Gaziev dodges it nicely.
Boy trying to pass the guard but Gaziev defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Boy in particular looking to stall.

Boy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gaziev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Boy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gaziev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boy is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gaziev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Boy is taking a breather. Gaziev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Boy is trying to control the action in half guard but Gaziev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Boy drops an elbow to the side of Gaziev's head.
Boy throwing shots but Gaziev is blocking nicely.
Boy has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Gaziev works to full guard.

Boy wants to stand but Gaziev has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Boy postures up in Gaziev's guard and throws a big left but Gaziev blocks it.

Gaziev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gaziev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Boy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Boy connects with a couple of short punches.
Boy trying to control the position from guard on top but Gaziev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gaziev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boy defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gaziev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Boy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gaziev takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Ashat Gaziev has been cut.
Ashat Gaziev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gaziev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gaziev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boy defends it easily.

Big Boy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Boy's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Big Boy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Boy stuns Gaziev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gaziev slips a jab and a cross from Boy.

Boy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gaziev on his heels. He'll look to pass Gaziev's guard now, I'm sure.

Boy cracks Gaziev with a solid left hand.
Boy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boy throws and elbow that misses. Gaziev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boy's guard. Nice move by Gaziev!

Gaziev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boy keeping moving, preventing Gaziev from controlling successfully.

Gaziev drops back looking for a leg! Boy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boy manages to kick Gaziev off! Gaziev jumps back into Boy's guard.
Gaziev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ashat Gaziev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boy is pulling down on Gaziev's head. It's preventing any offense from Gaziev, at least for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Big Boy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
