Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wakanda Akecheta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sousa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ratamahatta kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akecheta clinches.

Sousa turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sousa manages to end up in side control.

Akecheta is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sousa asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akecheta is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sousa lets go of the hold and Akecheta can pop his arm back in it's socket.
