Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wingate throws a series of punches but Turner moves out of range.
Turner tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Wingate counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Wingate counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

enabling Wingate to counter with a crisp jab.

Wingate keeps the fight on the outside.

Turner tries to clinch up but Wingate circles away and keeps his distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wingate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wingate shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Turner is trying to defend but Wingate finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wingate takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Turner tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Turner moves in looking to clinch but Wingate pushes him off.

Turner is breathing heavily.
Turner tries to clinch but Wingate is having none of it.
Wingate will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wingate tries to bum rush Turner with a series of wild strikes but Turner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Turner shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like Turner is going to stand back up.

Turner has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wingate tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away.
Turner raining down shots from the mount!
Wingate holds of for dear life.
Wingate throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Turner has control of Wingate's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wingate regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Turner throwing strikes here but Wingate is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Wingate is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wingate tries to hold on but Turner postures up.

Turner looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wingate loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Turner scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Wingate land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Wingate stands and salutes the crowd.
