Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Willaims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Al Capone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Willaims!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Capone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Willaims looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Capone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Willaims is trying to improve his position.

Capone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Capone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Willaims is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Capone is looking to take a break and control but Willaims is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Willaims manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Capone seems to be working for a kimura but Willaims defends the submission attempt.

Capone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Willaims is just riding it out for now. Capone eventually gives up the hold.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Capone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Capone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Willaims keeps working.
Capone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Capone is working for an americana but Willaims has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Capone was thinking about the submission.

Capone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Willaims dives on top into guard.

Capone looking for a guillotine here but Willaims defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willaims wants to control from the top but Capone keeps moving.

Capone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Capone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Willaims defends well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Willaims postures up and lands a big shot to Capone's brow.
Willaims missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Capone keeping moving, preventing Willaims from controlling successfully.
Willaims advances to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Willaims in particular looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Capone is not content to let Willaims control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Al Capone will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Capone with a poor takedown

and Willaims counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Capone's guard now.

Capone working for a triangle but Willaims defends it easily.
Willaims working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Willaims lands a couple of elbows.
Willaims postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Capone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Willaims is aware though and is defending well.

Capone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Willaims doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Willaims manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Capone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Capone pushes a forearm under Willaims's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Willaims is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Al Capone!
